I am KC Ung. This is a true story, based on my personal experience during a challenging period in Cambodia’s history. The events and characters portrayed in this narrative are real and reflect the struggles and triumphs I witness firsthand.
The Khmer Rouge regime, which ruled Cambodia 1975 to 1979, subjected the population to unimaginable hardships and suffering. This story aims to shed light on the resilience, courage, and indomitable spirit of the Cambodian people who endured during dark times.
While the story captures my own journey, it is important to note that it represents only one person’s perspective among many. Countless individuals faced similar ordeals, each with their own unique story of survival and resilience.
